The Minuteman Library Network
The Sherborn Library is a member of the Minuteman Library Network, a resource-sharing consortium of 36 public and 8 college libraries in the Metrowest region of Massachusetts. Any Massachusetts resident can acquire a MLN card.
Sherborn residents can borrow materials from lending libraries nation-wide. Materials with the MLN network arrive in Sherborn within a few business days. Materials borrowed outside MLN will take longer. Patrons can request materials directly from the MLN catalog and select the Sherborn Library as the pick-up location.
The Commonwealth Catalog (ComCat) allows Minuteman Library Network patrons to borrow books, audiobooks and films from libraries across Massachusetts. When a Minuteman Library doesn’t have an item, patrons can use the Commonwealth Catalog to search and request items from libraries all over the state. If the item is currently available within the Minuteman Network, the Commonwealth Catalog will redirect patrons to the Minuteman catalog. Patrons can access ComCat directly from the Minuteman Catalog home page.
